Ernest Lynton was the founding executive editor (1990 to 1997), followed by Barbara Holland (1997 to 2016). Valerie Holton has served as the executive editor since 2016.
The executive editor determines the strategic direction and guides the operation, implementation and growth of the journal. This includes, but is not limited to, the identification of issue themes and appropriate guest editors. The executive editor has the sole authority to accept and reject manuscripts.
