Abstract

The Georgia P-16 Initiative is a strategy to solve problems of low aspirations and underpreparedness of students in Georgia's public education systems. Insights drawn from lessons learned about statewide, local, and university partnerships lead to strategies that promise to improve and sustain student success at all levels of education. The focus is on closing the gap between what children are expected to learn in school and the content knowledge teachers bring to the task.
