California's Collaboration to Improve Education
AbstractCollaborative efforts among state systems of education to improve academic preparation and expand access to college have been fixtures on the California landscape for two decades. The California Education Round Table has been the principal organizing entity for much of the work between precollegiate and postsecondary systems. A cornerstone of this system, the California Subject Matter Projects, a K-18 entity, provides discipline-specific, standards-based professional development to teachers.
