Assessing University-Community Outreach

Abstract

In order to improve the quality of universitycommunity partnerships, institutions of higher education are encouraged to assess both process and outcomes. This article suggests multiple approaches for assessment, a collaborative model involving the various constituents, and ongoing institutional support to sustain the assessment efforts. This includes integration of assessment of universitycommunity partnerships with faculty members' scholarly agendas.
