P-16: From Commuter Local to Transcontinental Express
AbstractThe P-16 movement has spread to about half of the states and has begun to play a major role in the nation's education reform efforts. The author describes how the movement originated and how it has evolved up to the present. He then presents some of the major issues that are likely to be on the movement's agenda and before metropolitan universities over the next few years.
